Power Platform Low-Code Lab: Automating Campus Workflows

Low-code tools empower non-developers and developers alike to automate repetitive tasks. In our Power Platform lab, students built Power Apps forms connected to SharePoint lists and Power Automate flows for email notifications.

Use cases included event RSVP tracking, equipment checkout logs, and mentor session scheduling. Participants learned when low-code fits — and when a custom web app is the better choice.

Microsoft provides free developer environments for students through the Power Apps community plan. Start with a simple three-screen app before adding connectors to Teams or Outlook.

MLSC will host an advanced session on Dataverse and solution packaging. If you manage a society or club at MAJU, bring your workflow pain points — we will whiteboard automations together.
